Why Watch Titanique?

  • Sydney gets the splash hit of the season, as the Olivier-nominated musical comedy Titanique cruises from a sold-out run in New York and London to the Grand Electric Theatre.
  • Experience the eleven-time Oscar-winning epic Titanic like never before through the music of Canadian legend Céline Dion (who is a fan of the show herself!)
  • Catch nostalgic songs from My Heart Will Go On to All By Myself. The soundtrack soars as the iconic romance sinks (this time because of a human iceberg, played by Abu Kebe.)
  • Expect powerful vocals, wild dialogue and irreverent parodies as superfan and cabaret queen Marney McQueen (Hairspray, The Dismissal) stars as Céline under the direction of Tye Blue (RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!).
  • Anchor your Titanique Sydney musical tickets for a cult sensation that is “SENSATIONAL, HILARIOUS AND DERANGED,” (New York Post) and which is guaranteed to make you “..LAUGH YOUR ICEBERG OFF.”(People)

After a sold-out Off-Broadway debut and an Olivier-nominated West End run, the Titanique musical sails into Sydney’s Grand Electric Theatre. A glitter-drenched parody of Titanic, the show is narrated through the soaring hits of Céline Dion, who has officially endorsed the Lucille Lortel Award-winning show.

Directed by Tye Blue (RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!), with book and lyrics by Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli, and Tye Blue, and music supervision by Nicholas Connell, this (partially!) improvised musical references everything from RuPaul's Drag Race to Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The show features Céline’s greatest hits including My Heart Will Go On, All By Myself, It’s All Coming Back to Me Now, reimagined full of camp and chaos. Snag your Titanique musical Sydney tickets now, since this ship won’t stay docked for long!

The Story

What if Céline Dion told you the story of Titanic...her way? This musical parody that hijacks the tragic love story of Jack and Rose. The show opens in the present day at a Titanic museum tour, where Céline Dion suddenly appears, insisting that she was on the ship and that Hollywood got it all wrong. What follows is her hilariously unhinged retelling of the doomed voyage, featuring a larger-than-life diva, a human iceberg and a cast of familiar characters caught in Celine’s spotlight. Jack’s an artist, Rose is fed up with Cal, and Ruth is on the boat too. As icebergs loom and feelings soar, the show asks the real question: can true love survive a shipwreck and Céline?
