Picture this: the hallowed steps of the Sydney Opera House transformed into a decadent after-dark playground where opera's greatest hits are reimagined with big laughs and big voices. Originally conceived for Sydney WorldPride 2023, this show has evolved into an annual celebration that proves opera has always been as queer as it gets – from its tight corsets to its high drama, from its flawed men to its tragic women. Under Shaun Rennie's expert direction and Alex Lynn's atmospheric lighting design, the show features a rotating cast of Australia's finest vocalists delivering reimagined opera hits. And if you're lucky, there will be loads of risque moves to light up the evening sky! Get tickets to Opera Up Late at the Sydney Opera House and the glorious night of debauchery.
