What to bring

  • Fully charged phone or camera — You'll want it. Photo-heavy attractions drain batteries fast; a portable charger is worth it.
  • Comfortable shoes — The venue is flat and entirely indoors, but you'll be on your feet for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Your mobile ticket — QR code is scanned at the door; no need to print.
  • An outfit with some contrast — Reviewers note that solid-coloured clothing photographs better against the themed backdrops.

What's not allowed

  • No food or drink inside the attraction zones.
  • Professional camera equipment (tripods, large rigs) is not permitted; phones and standard cameras are fine.
  • Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times.
  • Children under 2 enter free; bring ID or passport for age verification at the door.
  • For the Carnival Carnage 7D ride: children under 12 must have a 1:1 adult chaperone on the ride itself.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, but you can cancel up to 24 hours before your entry time for a full refund. No same-day cancellations.
  • Entry is subject to your booked time slot — late arrivals may be turned away if capacity is reached.

Accessibility

  • Fully wheelchair accessible with ramp entry; wheelchairs are available to rent on-site.
  • Stroller accessible throughout all zones.
  • Service animals are welcome inside.
  • All floors are on one level — there are no stairs between zones.
  • Accessible toilets are available on-site.
  • If you have specific accessibility questions, contact the venue via the official website before your visit.

Additional information

  • Hours: Open daily 10am–5pm; last entry at 4pm. Hours can vary during school holidays and peak periods — check the official website before visiting.
  • Address: 1-5 Wheat Road, Darling Harbour, NSW 2000 (on Aquarium Wharf, between SEA LIFE and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo).
  • Getting there: 10-minute flat walk from Town Hall or Wynyard train stations. Darling Harbour ferry wharf is a 2-minute walk. Paid parking is available nearby — see the Getting Here page on the official website for discounted parking options.
  • Duration: Most visitors spend 1.5 hours; allow up to 2 hours if you plan to do every zone and add the 7D ride.
  • Booking: Online booking is strongly recommended, especially on weekends and during NSW school holidays. Walk-up tickets are subject to availability.
  • Photos: A Digi Photo Pass (8 digital photos) is included with some ticket options — check your ticket type at booking. Staff members circulate and are happy to take photos on your own device.
  • Gift shop: Located at the exit; sells Madame Tussauds merchandise and Sydney souvenirs.
  • No food on-site: There are no cafés inside the venue. Plenty of dining options are within a 5-minute walk along Cockle Bay Wharf and Darling Harbour.
  • Pro tip: Arrive on a weekday morning if you want quieter zones and easier photo access, especially in Marvel and Justice League.
  • You can cancel these tickets up to 24 hours before the experience begins and get a full refund.

We were able to fit all 4 attractions in one day but recommend splitting over two days if possible. Highlight was the Aquarium; so relaxing watching all the colourful fish. Wax Museum was fun; a few interactive exhibits, would be cool if there were more. Love the Sydney Tower; despite a bit of fog, it was still an amazing view. The Wildlife Zoo was the least impressive; too many exhibits empty or under maintenance.

The process to buy tickets was easy and the price was the cheapest I could find, still offering flexibility. I had no trouble getting to the venues and I had booked at the Aquarium, but arrived early which was no problem. This site is great for tourists who don't need to waste time looking for the right experience at the right price.

The view from the tower is phenomenal! It is nicely decorated, and everything is clean! The restaurant should be visited, if possible in the evening, because the view of illuminated Sydney is equal to New Year's Eve, even when it's not! In the evening, the restaurant in the dome also turns around, so you can enjoy a 360° view of the city from a bird's eye perspective, with a glass of wine in hand and without having to move. I recommend buying tickets online through Headout, because in that case you just go to the tower and don't have to wait in line, and the tickets will be sent by email and on Whats app.

Madam Tussauds is great however the Sydney one has too many marvel / comic book ones that aren't really wax statues of celebrities. The lighting is also a little OTT so photos are difficult to capture easily. That aside, we went so my kid could see Harry Styles and she was delighted by that one. Good fun. You'll be pushed to stay an bour though - unless it's busy

We took our kids (8 and 3) to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium the other day, and it turned out to be a really nice, easy day out. The underwater tunnels were the standout for all of us walking through while sharks and big rays swam above was pretty special. Even we were impressed. Our 8-year-old got into spotting different fish and reading the info, and our 3 year old was just excited by everything, pointing and chatting the whole way through. The penguins were another highlight. They were super active, which kept both kids entertained, and it was a good moment for us to pause for a bit. Getting around was simple with the kids, everything felt clean, and the staff were friendly enough. It did get a little busy in some sections, but that’s to be expected and it didn’t take away from the experience. All up, it was a relaxed, fun outing and the kids were still talking about it afterwards which is always a good sign. Definitely worth a visit.
