  • Tip: If you arrive at Scenic World early and the view is obscured by fog, take advantage of your all-day ticket. Explore other activities and return later when the weather improves.
  • Elderly people with cardiovascular disease, vertigo, fear of heights, and pregnant women are not recommended to join this activity.
  • This experience is not accessible by wheelchair.
  • The Cableway and Skyway are both stroller-friendly experiences. For safety reasons, strollers are not allowed on the Scenic Railway. Stroller access is limited on the longer routes of the Scenic Walkway due to steep gradients and multiple stairs.
  • Scenic World is an all-weather attraction, rides will still operate in case it rains. The Railway, Skyway, and Cableway cabins are enclosed to provide shelter. Rain ponchos and umbrellas are available for purchase onsite.
  • Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue. However, they must wear their harness or leash at all times and must not be carried.
  • Important: Stop at the ticket office at 283 Bathurst Road, Katoomba, before boarding the bus. This is the only place to redeem your combo for both the bus and Scenic World tickets. You’ll also receive your guidebook and the entry code needed for Scenic World rides. The ticket office is open every day, from 8:30am to 3pm.
  • These tickets can't be cancelled or rescheduled.

  • The Cableway, Skyway, and the shortest part of the rainforest boardwalk (around 10 minutes) are wheelchair accessible. The Railway is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Infants and small children must be held by a guardian as baby seats are not provided on the Railway, Skyway, or Cableway.
  • The Cableway and Skyway are both stroller-friendly experiences. For safety reasons, strollers are not allowed on the Scenic Railway. Stroller access is limited on the longer routes of the Scenic Walkway due to steep gradients and multiple stairs.
  • Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue. Bring proof of training and ensure your dog wears a harness and leash at all times.
  • These tickets can't be cancelled or rescheduled.

What does “skip-the-line” mean?

Skip-the-line tickets let you avoid the ticket-purchase queue at Scenic World. With an e-ticket (mobile or print), you proceed to the entry/checkpoint and bypass the long ticket office lines. Note: all guests still pass mandatory security and safety checks; ride queues and short wait times at each attraction may still apply during peak periods.

How long are the queues at Scenic World?

  • Ticket office queue: Peak (weekends & school holidays). Expect 30–60 minutes if buying on site; skip-the-line avoids this.
  • Entry/security check: Typical 5–20 minutes depending on crowding. This is mandatory for everyone.
  • Ride queues: Even with skip entry, individual ride waits (Railway/Skyway/Cableway) can form during peak; plan 2–3 hours if you want to do all rides and the boardwalk.
    Tip: Arrive early (opening or soon after) or choose weekday slots to reduce queue time.

Stephen and Saed (sp?) were awesome. The zoo was so nice that you could enter before the zoo opens to the public so only a few people in the zoo. The Red cable car was really fun. They have USB plug in for the bus to charge so make sure you bring your cable. The group was small. The ride is kind of long on the way back so I would bring headphone and download a movie. I would highly recommend this tour. It is quite beautiful. I would definitely go back to Blue Mountain. Worth the trip away from Sydney proper. I have been to Sydney several times and never went to Blur Mountain. I will definitely return

I have been to the Sceneic Railway a few times in the past. The changes and improvements that they have made are exceptional! It was a privelege to take an overseas tourists to one of my iconic places and get surprised myself! Although the weather was a little off, the pathways and signage made the visit very enjoyable!

We went on a day when it rained more than it has in along time. More than 100 mls. The train was closed the walkways were closed but the staff more than made up for it with their enthusiasm and caring attitude. Pros:- Tom and Stephen are awesome, really nice, smart, and super funny. Learned a ton and had a good chat with them. Very respectful.- We were late to the pickup spot, but they waited for us which was really nice.- Got to feed the kangaroos and snap pics with the koala since it was included in the deal. Started at Sydney Zoo, so the animals were mostly awake for us to interact with.- The tour was smooth overall, they gave us free water packs and snacks.- They let us explore on our own and trusted us to be back when they said to be.Cons:- We stopped at a pricey café recommended by the guide, but it was pretty average and overpriced. Doesn't affect the quality of the trip or service, though. I'd suggest grabbing lunch somewhere else that's more worth it.- Went on a Thursday, so it was pretty packed and we didn't have enough time to ride more than once; even riding once felt rushed.
