They were prompt getting us to all activities and had enough time to spend at each activity! It was smart that we went to Sydney Zoo as our first stop because we were able to get through quickly with kangaroo feeding and koala photo taken. The entire day was jammed packed! Scenic Park was awesome with train and cable rides! Thanks to Rona and the bus bus driver! Great day!

What a terrible driver have you hired ? Bruno! He has no time management, was late, annoying as hell on mic, you better think of hiring an Australian not someone half way across the world, who passes comments about other nationality over mic and local Australian colonialism. I can vouch this person has not enough experience as a tour bus operator. What an awful and annoying trip it was…

We had a great day in the company of our tour guide/driver Les, and our other fellow travellers. The blue mountains were stunning plenty of amazing views. It was great getting into the zoo early before the crowds and the scenic world attraction was great fun. Les made the day so special he was so knowledgeable, fun and friendly. We learnt so much and enjoyed a laugh. The ferry back was a bonus and a great end to a perfect day. Recommend this great trip.

The hop-on, hop-off bus was very convenient, we could stop at any of the stops we wanted, and all the stop-offs were clearly labelled and announced in the bus. I enjoyed the freedom of doing everything in your own time. If I had to nitpick, I'd say some of the recommendation places for lunch wasn't as great as I expected it to be.

The info I got from the website said the tickets were good between 9 and 5 but the reality was that the last ride time was 3:40 so when we got there at 2:40 we only just had time to do all 3 rides because they said you need 90 minutes. We could have gone on the rides more than once if we had known to allow more time.

START POINT

Sydney CBD

Starting your day with a pickup in the heart of Sydney’s bustling CBD – think shopping, dining, and that unmistakable energy that Sydney’s city life is famous for. Don’t miss out on grabbing a quick coffee from one of the many cafes—perfect for a pick-me-up before starting the day.

1

Featherdale Wildlife Park

60 minutes

Get up close with some of Australia’s cutest and most unique wildlife. From koalas to kangaroos, you’ll see animals found nowhere else in the world. Take your time at the koala photo station – it's the perfect place for a memorable snapshot, especially if you’re lucky enough to get a cuddle with one.

2

Leura Village

60 minutes

A charming mountain village vibe, perfect for a tea break and a little shopping. Leura is the spot for all things artsy, boutique, and locally made goods. When you explore, don't forget to pick up something fresh for lunch from one of the bakeries or restaurants.

3

Echo Point

30 minutes

One of the most breathtaking views in the Blue Mountains. Echo Point offers a panoramic look at the iconic Three Sisters rock formation and surrounding valleys. Indigenous legend tells the Three Sisters were turned to stone to protect them.

4

Scenic World

90 minutes

Experience the mountains in a whole new way, riding the Skyway, Cableway, and Railway. It’s a perfect mix of adventure and jaw-dropping views from every angle. Be sure to try the Scenic Railway for the full experience—it’s one of the steepest rides in the world and totally worth the adrenaline rush!

5

Paramatta Wharf

75 minutes

Tickets included

End your day with a relaxing cruise down the Parramatta River, offering gorgeous views of both the river’s natural beauty and Sydney’s impressive skyline. Keep your camera handy—the light reflecting on the river at sunset makes for fantastic photographs, especially with the Sydney Harbour as a backdrop.

6

END POINT

Circular Quay, Sydney

At the end of your day trip, you'll find yourself at the iconic Sydney Circular Quay, a bustling waterfront hub that’s the heart of the city’s harbor. With the Sydney Opera House on one side and the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the other, Circular Quay offers views that’ll make you want to pause and take it all in. The area is home to a blend of modern shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as historical landmarks, giving you the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration.

Immersive trip blending Scenic World rides, wildlife encounters, and a river cruise.

  • Great for: Families, couples, and solo adventurers who want a day tour with the best spots from Sydney to Blue Mountains.
  • What you'll get: Access to Scenic World rides, a guided visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park with kangaroo feeding, and a relaxing ferry cruise back to Sydney.

Book with caution. We booked and they changed our meeting point and did not inform us. We would not have known only I rang when the coach didn't turn up. She arranged another meeting point which was 1 hour and 10 min from orginal time. She said she would added10% to our account which was pointless as we were leaving Australia and definitely wouldn't be using the company again. When we said we were not happy with this we never heard anything again from the company and never saw the 10% refund. Excursion was just ok. Not the best. Book with caution.

We had a lovely time and enjoyed it. Unfortunately we can't blame you for the horrible weather. It didn't stop us having a great time and our driver Ben was outstanding. Very informative but didn't know that the Sydney Harbour Bridge was modelled on a bridge near our home in the UK. It is the Tyne bridge at Newcastle. He is welcome to use it in the future when addressing his passengers.

Brilliant time in the Blue Mountains, a good sampling of all it has to offer. I would've preferred more time trekking at scenic world, but hard to have it all. Definitely a good value for transport and entry fees compared to doing it yourself.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable day from start to finish with Bob our tour guide with Andersons Travel. We stopped in numerous lookouts including Echo Point to see the 3 sisters rock foundation, Scenic world(using 3 rides and a walkway), Cahills lookout over the Megalong Valley, Leura,Lincoln's Rest abd visited Featherdale Wildlife Park where we actually fed kangaroos(one with a Joey). We had a lovely lunch,(choice of 4) at the Bunker, we had the gluten free chicken schnitzel with chips and salad. Then to finish off the day we were taken to the Sydney Olympic Park jetty to catch our ferry to Barangaroo along the Parramatta River. An amazing day from start to finish with perfect weather. Highly recommended

Very well planned day with good activities and experiences. Better than expected. And a fantastic guide who could tell and inform about almost everything. We felt in good hands. For us not staying in a hotel in city center it is importent with exact description of pick-up location, the name of the street. You have this in some pickup locations but not all. I needed my choice of pickup location in the confirmation mail after ordering. We will recommend you, surely.

Kellie was a really passionate and knowledgeable person, She explained many things and I learned a lot during the tour especially about the penguins. She also very cute & funny and really taking care of us. I really enjoy the puffing billy's train ride. But off course the highlight was to be able to watch the penguin parade. They are so adorable. Had such a wonderful day on this tour. Booking was easy, pickup was on time and accurate to location. You learn so much and see so many insightful things that you would usually miss when not on a tour. The GREAT Adrian was funny & gave us not only valuable information but memorable stories along the way. He made sure we were all aware of where we were going next to prepare. A must do experience!!

After reading a few good reviews, I finally decided to book the Ocean Road trip with Wine Hop and Coastal Tours. The scheduled time was 7:00am on Sep 8, 2024. I got a message on Sep 6 that our pick up time has been changed to 6:35am at a slightly different location. As there was no scope to change the trip at such a short notice, inspite of the inconvenient timing, we decided to stick to the tour. As there was an elderly couple travelling with me with one of them having knee issue, I rushed and reached the venue at 6:38am, whereas the other members arrived at 6:44 am, which were delays of 3 minutes and 9 minutes respectively. As I was expecting a slight delay, I messaged on their number which I believed was the tour guide’s number at 6:31am (Melbourne Time) while we were walking towards the location. What followed post that was derogatory and humiliating to say the least. Warren got down from the bus instead of offering us seats and in full view of everyone, he gave an earful regarding being late. Almost all his comments began with the statement, “Don’t know about your country but here in Australia you have to play by the rules”, clearly asserting some form of dominance and bullying. He also threatened to leave us out in the cold if we got late later on during the day. He singlehandedly completely ruined the experience right from the start to the extent that one of my co-travellers was traumatized and found it very hard to participate in the activities later on in the day. Warren has a perfectly disguised two-pronged approach. He can be “nice” to someone with a smile one moment and then turn passive aggressive the next to another person. During the stop at Melba Gully rainforest, my friend approached him looking to clarify things and asked him to apologize for the treatment meted out to her parents to which he tried to shut us down, mocked us with hand gestures and later on got up on the bus and said “Don’t participate in a yelling match with me cause you guys won’t win.”, whereas all that was pointed to him was he had no right to humiliate women. He also further added, “I am expecting a review from you guys.” Warren has an extremely racial way of functioning and his behaviour is different for different sets of people (which kind of justifies some of the decent reviews he received). He also added statements in the end, “it doesnt matter what reviews come, good or bad, I get paid the same.” and “Me and my boss read reviews together and laugh.” I have used Get Your Guide for multiple tours in the past and I met amazingly kind tour guides. We had amazing experiences in Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmania over a 2-week period. However, this hands down was the worst experience and straight up derogatory, all thanks to Warren. Even though there has been a delay of approximately 7-8 minutes, the same could have been conveyed politely instead of racial threats and intimidation considering the delay was miniscule with respect to the whole trip being of duration 12-13 hours. Additionally, once I returned to India, Warren called up threatening to remove the Google review which shows how the company operates.

Amazing trip, we saw jaw dropping cliffs and landscapes, 6 koalas (1 dead) in their natural habitats, mobs of kangaroos, great seafood (self-paid) and met with gorgeous solo travelling ladies. Best trip ever with best choice of tour provider and tour guide. 13 hours is a time commitment.

We had a great experience, started by being picked up on time. With Our guides indigenous background knowledge of the city and surrounding area Karen kept us movin and entertained. The sites were gorgeous and interactions with the animals at the zoo were awesome,. A note about our guide Karen, from pointing out great coffee shops to awesome lunch eateries, bringing bird food to feed wild cockatoos at one stop, all that and a sense of humor! Awesome excursion!

This tour has an early start and a late finish however it was well worth it. We had Martin as our tour guide and he was great, very relaxed but very helpful and informative too. We got to cover a lot of sights without the tour feeling rushed. I don’t know how Martin does all the driving as well as being a tour guide, but he seems to enjoy his job which makes the tour very enjoyable.

Things to know before booking your Sydney to Blue Mountain tour

Here are a few important things to consider while choosing between guided tours and hop-on hop-off tours that can help you make the most of your Blue Mountains adventure.

Blue Mountains Day Tours

Guided tours

  • Inclusions: Guided tours will include a tour guide for the entire tour, pick-up and drop-off to the city, lunch, and in some tours, a ferry ride back to Sydney.
  • Attractions covered: Explore spots like Wentworth Falls, Jamison Valley, Scenic World and more with a tour guide. This will give you a more in-depth look at the Blue Mountains.
  • Duration: Most Blue Mountains guided tours will last between 10 to 12 hours, including pick-up and drop-off; this is a good option for folks who want to spend the whole day touring the Blue Mountains.
  • Pricing: Blue Mountains guided tour prices start at AU$99 and includes return transfers, a tour guide, and entry to attractions like Katoomba Falls, Three Sisters, and more. It is a great option to consider if you have a medium to high budget and want the luxury of hassle-free transfers and a personal tour guide.
Blue Mountains Day Tours

Explorer bus tours

  • Inclusions: Explorer bus tours give you the freedom to explore at your own pace, but do not include a tour guide or transfers to and from the city.
  • Attractions covered: Explorer bus tours will stop at attractions like Jamison Valley, Cahill's Lookout, Leura, Devil's Hole, and more. You can get down wherever you please and explore away.
  • Duration: If you are on a shorter timeline or have other solo activities planned for the day, Explorer bus tours offer flexible timings with 24 hours validity, allowing you to hop-off and explore the mountains at your own pace.
  • Pricing: Explorer bus tours are for travelers who want to find their own way around the Blue Mountains. These tour passes are super budget-friendly, with prices starting at AU$35, and can be used as much as you want for 24 hours.

More things to consider before choosing a tour

  • Scenic World: Apart from being one of the main highlights at Blue Mountains, Scenic World has the best views of attractions like Jamison Valley and Three Sisters from their viewing platforms. Upgrade your Blue Mountains guided tour for AU$91 to include entry to Scenic World and Featherdale Wildlife Park.
  • Bus vs ferry transfers: While the bus ride is convenient enough, the ferry ride back to the city gives you the chance to see attractions like Cuckatoo Island, Sydney Opera House, and the Harbour Bridge. The Blue Mountains Tour with Wentworth Falls, Guided Bushwalks & River Cruise is a great budget-friendly tour option to consider.
  • Tours with lunch: Booking a tour with lunch is a good idea, firstly because you get to try fresh farm to table food that the Blue Mountains are known for, and secondly, it's a good way to socialize on your tour. The All-Inclusive Blue Mountains with Scenic World, Hidden Lookout Points, Sydney Zoo & Guided Rainforest Walk tour promises an authentic Aussie lunch in addition to a day full of exploring.
  • Tours vs explore on your own: It all comes down to personal preference and budget. If you have a decent enough budget and want the luxuries of commute, tour guides, and free entry to attractions, guided tours are your best bet. If you have a small budget and an unshakable travel bug, we suggest going for an Explorer bus pass. You'll have fun either ways!
